Why Does God Bless Us

Psalms 8:4-6 TPT [4] Why would you bother with puny, mortal man or care about human beings? [5] Yet what honor you have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned with glory and magnificence. [6] You have delegated to them rulership over all you have made, with everything under their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of your image-bearers.

Psalms 144:3 TPT [3] Lord, what is it about us that you would even notice us? Why do you even bother with us?

Psalms 144:3 NIV [3]  Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them?

Job 7:17-19 NIV [17] “What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention….

Why does God bless us? Why is God committed to us? Why does He work with us even when we make obvious mistakes, failing many times, and no doubt flawed at times with doing life? Because He loves us.

3. His Love

    1Jn 3:1 AMP See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

    Job 7:17 NKJV [17] “What is man, that You should exalt him, That You should set Your heart on him,

    2 Peter 1:2-4 TPT [2] May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  [3] Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. [4] As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world. 

    Unfailing Love

    Probably the most heard and quoted scripture being, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” has these three words “God so loved”. Meaning He already did this, and is still doing this and has always been doing this. He loves mankind. He loves us and has always wanted a loving relationship with us. He starts by loving us just as scripture states, He first loved us.

    1 John 4:10 TPT [10] This is love: He loved us long before we loved him. It was his love, not ours. He proved it by sending his Son to be the pleasing sacrificial offering to take away our sins.

    This is the first action God takes toward us. This is His plan. This is also why He sees us as family. He created us, then loves us.

     There are many who know God loves them but do not really love Him back. Yet the true nature of love should be a two-way street. God loves us and teaches us His love, and we now grow in our love back to Him. As this love relationship grows, we cannot help reflecting this same love to everyone around us. 

    Ephesians 3:17-19 NIV [17] so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, [18] may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, [19] and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

    He wants to lavish His love on you. He wants to dote on you. All throughout the Bible God was always showing off His ability through His sons and daughters. The only time He couldn’t was when they rejected Him and walked away from Him. Yet He still stayed to His plan to save and be with His sons and daughters. No time in history can you find God not caring about His family. It is the greatest ploy of the enemy to get us to think He doesn’t care. 

    He Cares

    He cares deeply about you, He wants to take care of you, good care of you. There is no one in all of creation He cares more about than you and me. He chose us, to set His love and affection on and to pay attention to us with great detail.    There is nothing He cares more about than His family, of which we are a part. 

    He truly understands what you are going through. His care has many layers to it. He listens to you and wants you to listen to Him. He wants you to know and believe He really does care about you. You cannot doubt this. It is always the enemy that wants you to question or doubt how much He cares about you.

    1 Peter 5:7
    Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. AMP

    Matt 6:26-27 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?  NIV

    Whenever the enemy has you thinking nobody cares about your situation, it is so wrong on many levels, because God does.  Even if you believe nobody cares about you personally, wrong, wrong, wrong, God does.

    He cares, He cares, He cares, in fact He wants to take “Good Care” of You. 

    The way in which one cares reflects the way they love. Elements of God’s care for you is;

    1. He is fully committed to you. Not partially, or occasionally when He thinks of you, but all the time.  

    Psalms 8:4 NIV [4] what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

    Psalms 139:17-18 TPT [17-18] Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.

    2. The smallest of details, He cares. Don’t allow yourself to think, why bother God, this is always the way the enemy works.

    3. Be honest on how you feel but let Him help you with your feelings.

    Psalms 139:2-6 TPT [2] You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. [3-4] You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. [5] You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! [6] This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.

    4. Believe He hears, because He does. Come to Him and talk to Him. Go ahead and pour out your heart to Him. Good communication is a key to solid and deep relationships.

    He wants to be in a deep, caring relationship with you. He wants a two-way dialogue with you so you can know and understand how much He cares.  

    Remember no earthly father ever loved His children more than God loves His. We should never let doubt come into our thoughts as to how much God loves us. 

    Luke 12:6-7 NIV [6] Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? Yet not one of them has [ever] been forgotten in the presence of God. [7] Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you are far more valuable than many sparrows.
